Veteran Steyoyoke stalwart Dahu returns to the label with ‘Ancient Order’. Featuring 3 mesmerizing tracks, Dahu’s latest coup is a journey across the full palette of his signature style.

‘Ancient Order’ is a martial affair. Thundering percussion presses relentlessly forward, while a delicate pulse wave sets the scene for the sub-heavy groove. Glittering synths intertwine to create a brief moment of bliss, before a crashing drop returns the track to its pounding tribal roots. A sure-fire club track, ‘Ancient Order’ will level the dancefloor in a beautifully uplifting way.

A mesmerizing groove pulls the listener deep into the bowels of ‘Descend’. A synth as ominous and repetitive as it is unrelenting sets the primal stage for the percussive drums to work their magic. ‘Descend’ is a ritualistic roller bound to turn the club into a temple and the dancer into a disciple with tribal ferocity.

‘Ash’ is an emotive affair. Trading in energy for nostalgia, Dahu conjures images of days gone by with a haunting, repetitive synth. Intertwining with a beautifully resonating ocean drum, the soundscapes of ‘Ash’ will drown you in beautiful reminiscence.

With ‘Ancient Order’, Dahu has engineered a quintessential EP, once again showing us that he is not afraid to push his artistic boundaries while staying true to the sound we’ve come to know and love.
